Pasig River Unified Monitoring System (PRUMS)

The Pasig River Unified Monitoring System (PRUMS) project was initiated on January 26, 2009 by four agencies: Environmental Management Bureau - National Capital Region (EMB-NCR), Environmental Management Bureau - Central Office (EMB-CO), Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), and Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) in order to harmonize the water quality monitoring stations and data along the Pasig River and to provide a coherent water quality report for public information.

14 stations are being monitored for water and sediment quality. The criteria of the selection of the 14 stations were based on the common stations of each agency, control, and most affected section of the river, and population and number of significant commercial and industrial discharges.
